Legacy Health System

Legacy Health System is a Portland, Oregon-based nonprofit healthcare organization providing an integrated network of healthcare services, including acute and critical care, inpatient and outpatient treatment, community health education and a variety of specialty services.
SSNW has provided Legacy with business process, technical, and risk management assistance on the implementation of the Lawson Procurement and Financials suites. In addition, we filled project management, HR/Payroll, and program quality management roles for the implementation of the Lawson HR/Payroll Suite and API Time & Attendance. From a technical standpoint, this project involved the management of technical architecture, conversion, interfaces, system tests, process flow and custom development.

Standard Insurance Company

Founded and headquartered in Portland, Oregon, The Standard Insurance Company now serves more than four million people nationwide, providing employee benefits, individual insurance, and investment products.
SSNW consultants were engaged in an effort to perform and document application and IT general controls readiness assessments for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Our role involved interviewing representatives from both the business and IT sides about key controls in their applications/systems, determining controls suitability, and identifying opportunities for preventive and detective controls. We reviewed approximately ten applications along with an additional ten IT systems, including the custom-developed applications in the Employee Benefits group and the Oracle database security model used throughout Standard.

Plum Creek Timber Company

With 8 million acres of land located in the Northwestern, Southern, and Northeastern regions of the United States, this Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is one of the largest private timberland owner in the United States. Plum Creek's business divisions include forest management, wood fiber merchandising, real estate management, and business opportunity development.
SSNW consultants effectively implemented company-wide financials and Sarbanes-Oxley readiness assessments for IT general controls, financial reporting and application controls. We administered and managed large-scale internal audits and IT projects, in addition to developing IT strategy and application architecture. Our change management professionals trained 250+ end-users on the new Hyperion Planning and Budgeting, Lawson Financials and custom timber operating systems, providing methodology, coaching and guidance in order to ensure the overall success of the project. This complex undertaking included benchmarking data, understanding and developing roles and responsibilities, centralizing core finance processes, and retraining key resources.
